Kenya Airways and Safarilink Aviation have signed a landmark codeshare agreement, forging a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionizing travel to Kenya’s iconic safari destinations. The collaboration promises travellers unmatched convenience, efficiency, and connectivity.

The agreement, signed at the Serena Mara Lodge in the heart of the Masai Mara, marks a significant milestone in enhancing Kenya’s tourism infrastructure.

Under this new partnership, international passengers flying with Kenya Airways can now book their entire journey — from global hubs such as New York’s JFK Airport to Kenya’s premier wildlife destinations — on a single ticket.

Kenya Airways’ extensive international network will now seamlessly link with Safarilink’s twice-daily flights to nine key airstrips across the Masai Mara, as well as to Amboseli, Nanyuki, and Samburu.

This integration eliminates the need for multiple bookings and lengthy ground transfers, ensuring travellers enjoy smoother, faster journeys and more time immersed in Kenya’s natural beauty.

“This partnership exemplifies smart innovation,” said KQ CEO Allan Kilavuka, adding, “We’re connecting Kenya’s global reach to its natural treasures‚ while supporting local communities and conservation through enhanced access.”

The timing of this codeshare agreement aligns with a surge in leisure tourism, which now accounts for over 44% of all arrivals in Kenya, reflecting strong global demand for accessible, high-quality safari experiences.

By bridging international and domestic air travel, the Kenya Airways-Safarilink partnership not only elevates Kenya’s status as a top-tier destination but also strengthens its competitive edge in the global tourism market.

“We’re delighted to partner with Kenya Airways to deliver a truly seamless safari experience,” said Alex Avedi, CEO of Safarilink Aviation.
