Nairobi-based car dealer Khalif Kairo has reached out to Kenyans for financial support to help raise his KSh 2 million bail. Kairo has been in remand for the past week after being unable to meet the bail conditions set by the court.
Through comedian 2Mbili, Kairo has provided a paybill number for well-wishers to send contributions. In a video shared on Instagram, 2Mbili explained that he met with Kairo during a court appearance at Kibera Law Courts on Thursday, April 3.
He conveyed Kairo’s request for assistance, stating that any amount would be appreciated to help secure his release. 2Mbili also assured supporters that Kairo is in good physical and mental condition and expressed gratitude to those willing to assist.
Kairo’s legal troubles began earlier this year when he was charged with multiple counts of fraud, accused of receiving payments from clients without delivering the promised vehicles.
