Television news anchor and former Tusker Project Fame contestant Debarl Ainea is making a return to Kenyan television after a brief break from the limelight.

Ainea is set to join TV47, a move that aligns with the station’s ongoing efforts to revamp its political programming.

Well-known for his commanding presence and incisive interviewing style, Debarl will host a new political talk show as part of TV47’s strategic push to strengthen its role in political discourse, particularly in the lead-up to the 2027 general election.

Sources close to the development revealed that the station’s management is keen on positioning TV47 as a major voice in Kenya’s political media space.

Debarl was last seen on air in early 2024, where he hosted a morning show at the Standard Group’s Mombasa Road studios.
