Kenya is set to become the epicenter of workplace safety and health innovation as the organizers of the premier health safety, security, environment and sustainability (HSSES) event AfriSAFE (Africa Safety Award For Excellence and Congress) partner with Workplace Safety Professionals Association of Kenya (WSPAK) to host the prestigious 7th edition of the event.
This landmark collaboration will culminate in the AfriSAFE 2025 Safety Idea Capital, an initiative designed to empower Kenyan entrepreneurs and innovators.
The “AfriSAFE 2025 Safety Idea Capital” will connect promising individuals with experienced “Guardians” who are prepared to invest up to $20,000 in exchange for equity to support their pioneering HSSES ideas. This initiative underscores AfriSAFE’s commitment to fostering practical solutions for safer roads, workplaces, and homes across the continent through the adoption of new technologies.

It presents an unparalleled opportunity for Kenyan organizations and professionals to engage in vital networking, enhance their skills, and benchmark their safety protocols against continental best practices, thereby driving continuous improvement.”
Femi Da-silva, CEO of AfriSAFE, announced both the innovation fund and the ongoing nominations for the 7th edition of AfriSAFE Awards 2025. He emphasized that the AfriSAFE Safety Idea Capital will provide not only crucial financial backing but also invaluable mentorship and strategic guidance to propel impactful HSSES innovations.
“The AfriSAFE Award event,” Mr. Da-silva added, “will recognize and celebrate organizations and individuals who have demonstrated a verifiable and unwavering commitment to HSSES and overall well-being of their workplaces and communities.”
Mr. Kogei further commented, “This strategic and timely partnership with AfriSAFE to bring this esteemed safety event and award to Kenya will cast an international spotlight on Kenyan organizations dedicated to prioritizing worker safety and environmental stewardship. It will serve as a powerful platform to celebrate their dedication, inspire others, and ultimately contribute to creating safer workplaces and a healthier environment for all.”
