A tragic incident unfolded in Langas, Eldoret, after a man identified as Sila Kipkemei Maiyo was killed during a confrontation at a local drinking den.
According to police reports, the fatal encounter occurred following a heated disagreement between the deceased and a woman, who allegedly assaulted him during the altercation. The injuries sustained proved fatal, and Maiyo was later pronounced dead.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the woman, who is believed to have fled the scene after the incident. Authorities say she will be arrested for questioning and possibly arraigned in court once located.
“The suspect is still at large, but investigations are ongoing,” a senior officer at Langas Police Station confirmed.
The body of the deceased was moved to a local mortuary pending a postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
