Residents of Changamwe, Mombasa are reeling after detectives from the Anti‑Human Trafficking & Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) and DCI Changamwe arrested a couple accused of sexually exploiting their own children online.

According to a detailed statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, 41‑year‑old Regina Kauli Munyoki is alleged to have used the international dating platform AfroIntroductions (run by Cupid Media) to market explicit content featuring her three children—girls aged 13 and 7, and a boy aged 4.

Investigators say Regina earned money by sharing sexually explicit material of the minors and arranging encounters for paying clients. Shockingly, her husband Isaiah Owala Gura (52) is accused of repeatedly defiling their 13‑year‑old daughter since she was 11.

“The suspects exploited their children for financial gain through online channels,” an AHTCPU officer told reporters. “We are committed to dismantling such networks.”

Regina Munyoki: Arraigned at Mombasa Law Courts; released on a KSh 1 million bond with two sureties of the same amount.

Isaiah Gura: Remains in custody at Shanzu Prisons pending a bond ruling set for Tuesday, 15 July 2025.
