The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a slight reduction in fuel prices for the next 30 days, effective midnight.

New Fuel Prices in Nairobi

In its monthly review, EPRA lowered the pump prices as follows:

  • Super Petrol – reduced by KSh0.79 to retail at KSh184.52 per litre
  • Diesel – reduced by KSh0.11 to retail at KSh171.47 per litre
  • Kerosene – reduced by KSh0.80 to retail at KSh154.78 per litre

The new prices will apply across all outlets in the country, with variations depending on transport and distribution costs in different towns.

Relief for Consumers

The marginal reduction comes as a relief to households and businesses that have been struggling with high fuel costs, which directly affect transport, electricity, and the cost of essential goods.

EPRA reviews fuel prices monthly in line with global oil market trends and the country’s taxation and importation costs.
