Renowned Swahili RnB singer Jacob Obunga, popularly known as Otile Brown, is once again at the center of social media buzz following claims by a Kenyan woman that he fathered her child.
The New Allegations
In January 2026, a TikTok user identified as Mbiama went viral after posting videos claiming that the “Baby Love” hitmaker is the biological father of her young daughter. The woman expressed a heartfelt wish for the child to one day meet her father, though she has not yet produced legal documentation to support the claim publicly.
This is not the first time the singer has dealt with such allegations. In 2019, Otile Brown took to social media to dare an alleged baby mama to come forward and face him directly after similar rumors surfaced.
A History of Love and Loss
Otile Brown’s personal life has often been as dramatic as his chart-topping hits. His most publicised relationships include:
- Vera Sidika (2018): Perhaps his most famous pairing, the relationship with socialite Vera Sidika was a whirlwind of public displays of affection and music video collaborations. However, it ended in a messy public fallout, with Vera accusing him of using her for fame, while Otile claimed she had attempted to coerce him into having a child.
- Nabayet (2019–2022): Following his split from Vera, Otile dated Ethiopian biomedical scientist and model Nabayet (Nabbi). The long-distance relationship was marked by romantic gestures and an apology song titled “Nabayet” after a brief split. The two officially parted ways in January 2022. Most recently, in May 2025, reports confirmed that Nabayet had married in a lavish ceremony in Ethiopia.
