Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria has expressed frustration and condemnation after a disturbing video emerged online showing a female motorist violently assaulting a male driver following a minor road accident.
In the now-viral footage, the unidentified woman is seen confronting the male motorist moments after the crash. The argument quickly escalates, with the lady—dressed in a red outfit—launching repeated physical attacks on the man as he records the incident on his mobile phone.
As the video circulated widely on social media, a section of Kenyans tagged Mosiria, urging him to intervene on behalf of the woman, similar to his recent involvement in the Marion Naipei case.
However, the county official firmly distanced himself from the matter, making it clear that he would not step in this time.
Sharing the clip on his Facebook page, Mosiria voiced his exhaustion and disappointment, noting that defending individuals involved in such incidents can be challenging. While maintaining that he does not support any form of gender-based violence, he stressed that the law should be allowed to take its course.
”Pia nyinyi mmezidi ni juzi tu nimekuwa na case yenu , hata sijapumzika tena mmechapana. Saa zingine kuwatetea pia nyinyi ni ngumu. Kwani hivi ndio Adam alikapitia? No wonder God alijam! Acha nikunywe maji niende hivi, narudi nimeze brufen nilale -though I don’t support any form of GBV. Let justice prevail ama Vipi majamaa ?”
The incident has reignited online debate around road rage, accountability, and the application of justice regardless of gender.
