National carrier Kenya Airways has suspended its repatriation flights to and from Dubai following security guidance issued by authorities at Dubai International Airport.
In a statement released on Friday, the airline said the decision affected the repatriation flight that had been scheduled for March 6, 2026.
“We wish to inform our customers that we have suspended today’s (March 6, 2026) repatriation flight to and from Dubai following security guidance from Dubai Airport authorities,” part of the statement read.
Safety Cited as Top Priority
Kenya Airways said the suspension was taken as a precautionary measure, emphasising that the safety of passengers and crew remains its highest priority.
The airline noted that the move followed security guidance from authorities at Dubai International Airport, prompting the carrier to halt the planned repatriation service.
Advice to Affected Passengers
Passengers affected by the suspension have been advised to check the status of their flights through the Kenya Airways website.
The airline also urged travellers to ensure their contact details are updated in the Manage Booking section so they can receive direct notifications regarding any changes.
Customers seeking further clarification have been advised to contact the Kenya–United Arab Emirates Consulate for additional assistance.
Special Repatriation Flights
Earlier, Kenya Airways had informed customers that it would continue operating special repatriation flights between Nairobi and Dubai, subject to slot approvals from Dubai Airport authorities.
The airline explained that these flights were not part of its regular schedule but were limited emergency services permitted by UAE authorities as operations at Dubai International Airport gradually resumed under strict security measures.
