A sitting Member of County Assembly (MCA) and two other suspects have been charged before the Makadara Law Courts over an alleged violent robbery in Nairobi’s Donholm area.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Viwandani Ward MCA Aaron Kang’ara Wangari, alongside Kefa Munyoro and Zablon Kirima Mwangi, appeared in court on Tuesday, where they were charged with robbery with violence.
The prosecution alleges that the three attacked and violently robbed three victims during an incident in Donholm on June 26, 2026, before fleeing the scene.
The DCI said investigations linked the suspects to the robbery, leading to their arrest and subsequent arraignment before the Makadara Law Courts.
The three accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The court granted each suspect a bond of KSh1 million or an alternative cash bail of KSh500,000 pending the hearing and determination of the case.
The matter will be mentioned on a date to be set by the court as investigations continue and trial proceedings get underway.
