Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Forestry Soipan Tuya has jumped into the bandwagon of people who support some of musician Akothee’s controversial social media antics.
Tuya who seeking Sh425,000 in child support from her enstranged husband former Narok County Assembly Majority Leader Stephen Kudate has praised Akothe’s advice on how single women can gain respect from men.
Akothee raised hell on Facebook on Monday night when she posted that married women should secretly build their own houses before supporting their husband’s hustles. According to Akothee who has five children from three different men, the houses will come in handy in case the marriage breaks down.
“Single Mothers this is the only way you will gain respect not only from men but also just for yourself. Aka tiny sweet home where you run too to hide when the world is coming down,” said Akothee.
“Before you take a loan to build your man’s business,Jenga nyumba yako kwanza, roho Wacha ipige damu iwache kiherehere, mapenzi baadaye ,Si unaona nimewachiwa Nyumba ya nguruwe ,nguruwe ,kuku, na the rest . Kama ningekuwa naishi kwake jee ,ningeondoka na nini kama si uhuru bag,” she said.
The controversial post which has since gone viral was responded to by among other CS Tuya.
“Empowering words! Building your own sanctuary is not just about independence, it’s a statement of strength and self-respect. Your journey is inspiring, and your advice to single mothers is a powerful reminder to prioritize creating a secure space for themselves and their children,” she said.
Additionally, Kudate claimed that Tuya deliberately excluded him from participating in their children’s welfare, asserting that he, despite being jobless, effectively fulfills his parental role with the resources at his disposal.
“As the head of the family, I was a man of means who provided adequately, and she knows that I am jobless, but with the little I have, I effectively play my parental role,” Kudate said in court papers.
“I have taken care of her. She is out to frustrate me and wreck my life just as she did to the first husband from Kajiado, who took her for her Masters degree in Law in the United States after which she abandoned and dumped him,” he said.
