Public Service and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has pledged to cover the education expenses for three grandsons of Pauline Njoroge, a prominent ‘Mama Mboga’ in Kiambu. Kuria made this announcement during a funeral service for Pauline’s son, Alex Mbugua Waithira, in Githunguri.
During his speech, Kuria expressed his gratitude for Pauline’s support of the Kenya Kwanza party during the 2022 elections, stating that she played a crucial role in their campaign efforts. He acknowledged her contributions and commitment, emphasizing that he was honored to stand by her and her family during their time of grief.
Kuria affirmed his commitment to supporting Pauline’s grandchildren, highlighting his desire to provide them with education and empowerment opportunities. He recognized the importance of investing in the future of the younger generation and pledged to fulfill this responsibility.
The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by several political figures, including Kiambu County Woman Representative Anne Wamuratha, MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, and the local MCA.
Kuria’s gesture comes in the wake of his unsuccessful bid for the Kiambu County governorship in 2022 under the Chama Cha Kazi Party, where he was defeated by the incumbent Kimani Wamatangi, who ran on a UDA party ticket.
