A man in Ruiru, Kiambu County was stoned to death by an irate mob after allegedly snatching a mobile phone from a pedestrian.
According to police reports, officers managed to rescue the suspect from the mob and rushed him to Kenyatta University and Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body has since been transferred to General Kago Funeral Home in Thika, where it awaits autopsy and formal identification.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and urged the public to refrain from mob justice, emphasizing that suspects should be handed over to law enforcement for due process.
