The body of a 47-year-old man, identified as Philip Kiangi Mutuku, was discovered floating in River Katine in Matungulu, Machakos County, days after he was reported missing.
According to police, Mutuku had been missing since April 26. His body was found trapped among wooden debris and fig trees in the river before it was retrieved by local authorities.
The body has since been taken to the mortuary, where a postmortem and further investigations will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police are urging anyone with information related to his disappearance or death to come forward.
