The Member of County Assembly (MCA) of Kahawa Sukari Ward in Kiambu County, Kennedy Odhiambo is being investigated over an assault incident where the politician also claimed he had been assaulted after the matter was reported to a police station.
Odhiambo, a first-time MCA, is said to have assaulted someone during a scuffle at a public event held at the ward two weeks ago.
“I was also assaulted, and it was during a political event where the OCS was also present, Why can’t we wait for investigations to be complete before making an assumption,” said the MCA when contacted.
“Do not forget I am an elected leader by the people,” he said.
Ruiru Sub County Police Commander Charles Kibathi acknowledged the incident.
“The file was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP). We are waiting for a decision to be made on who will be charged,” he said.
