Police officers from the National Police Service (NPS) in Bungoma West Subcounty have arrested a woman and seized 154 rolls of cannabis sativa during a raid at her home in Nabuloli Village.
The operation was carried out following a tip-off from members of the public, leading officers to the suspect’s residence. During the search, the rolls of cannabis were recovered and taken as evidence.
The suspect is currently being held at Sirisia Police Station and is expected to be arraigned at the Sirisia Law Courts. Authorities have confirmed that the narcotics are in police custody as investigations continue and legal proceedings are prepared.
The NPS commended members of the public for their cooperation, noting that community involvement plays a vital role in combating drug-related crimes.
