Media personality Mwalimu Rachel has put Gen Z admirers on notice, publicly dismissing advances from younger men following a surge of messages after Betty Kyallo’s relationship with a younger partner went viral.

Speaking while on holiday along the Kenyan Coast, Rachel said she was taken aback by the sudden attention and made it clear that dating younger men is not on her agenda.

“I am happy for Betty and Charlie, but I don’t want a Gen Z near me,” she stated, adding that being tagged as the “next in line” was unnecessary.

Rachel explained that her romantic preference is for men aged 50 and above, joking that she could consider 45 due to public pressure—but only if they match her ideal “silver fox” image.

“I want a man whose age could rival my father’s,” she said, emphasizing her attraction to maturity, visible grey hair, and life experience.

She further noted that financial stability and respect are more important to her than youthful energy.

“Maturity and the ability to provide outweigh physical stamina,” Rachel added.

Currently enjoying her vacation in Mombasa, Rachel wished her followers a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, while firmly drawing boundaries with younger admirers.
