A family in Gachie is mourning the tragic death of their nine-month-old baby boy following a domestic accident involving hot tea.

According to police reports, the infant was being carried by his parents when the incident occurred. One of the parents was drinking hot tea when the beverage accidentally spilled onto the child’s head.

The baby sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. However, medical personnel pronounced him dead on arrival.

Authorities have described the incident as a tragic accident and have urged parents and guardians to exercise extreme caution when handling hot liquids around young children.

Police said the body was moved to a local mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.
