A section of Kenyan digital creators and influencers have publicly raised concerns against Twiva over alleged delayed and unpaid campaign earnings.
Several creators, speaking through their personal social media accounts, claim they successfully completed corporate campaigns coordinated by the agency but have faced unexplained delays in receiving payment.
According to some of the affected influencers, frustrations have also emerged over the handling of complaints within WhatsApp groups allegedly managed by the company.
They claim members who question pending payments or request updates are sometimes removed from the groups instead of being assisted.
“We get pressured a lot to share deliverables. But when it comes to paying creatives, we are being problematic. They say we should not bank on campaign money. So what am I supposed to bank on cause this is my actual income we are talking about here?” one creator said.
Another creator alleged that invoices have remained unpaid for weeks despite repeated follow-ups.
“I have an invoice that is now 32 days overdue. Despite this, the response we receive is ‘You guys don’t understand how corporate works,’” another influencer claimed.
The complaints have sparked wider conversations online about payment practices within Kenya’s growing influencer marketing industry, with many creators calling for clearer contracts, payment timelines and stronger protections for freelancers and digital workers.
Twiva had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
