Police have launched investigations after a 26-year-old woman sustained critical injuries following a fall from the third floor of an apartment building in Kilimani, Nairobi.
The woman was rushed to hospital unconscious on Saturday night after reportedly falling through a window at an apartment along Dennis Pritt Road.
Woman Was Reportedly Attending a Party
According to preliminary police investigations, the woman had been partying with friends before the incident occurred under circumstances that remain unclear.
Officers who visited the apartment recovered bottles of alcoholic drinks and used drinking glasses as part of the ongoing investigation.
Boyfriend, Two Others Detained
Police said the woman’s boyfriend and two other individuals were taken into custody to assist detectives with investigations.
Investigators believe several other people were present at the gathering but fled the scene before police arrived.
Authorities have launched a search for those who were at the party as they seek to establish exactly what happened before the woman fell.
The victim remains admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) in critical condition as investigations continue.
