Media personality Amina Abdi Rabar has officially announced her exit from Nation Media Group’s NTV, where she has been hosting the popular Friday night show #TheTrend since November 2017.
Amina revealed that yesterday’s episode marked her final appearance as host of the long-running entertainment show, bringing to a close a remarkable seven-year journey. She had taken over the program from renowned journalist Larry Madowo.
A decorated media career
Before joining NTV, Amina had built her reputation as a dynamic radio and TV presenter. She hosted Alfajiri on K24 and began her career at Homeboyz Radio, later moving to Capital FM where she became one of the station’s most recognized voices.
Her broadcasting journey started after she attended the Homeboyz Radio School, a platform that honed her presenting and production skills.
