Kenyan environmental activist Truphena Muthoni has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records after successfully breaking the 72-hour tree hugging marathon record.

Guinness World Records confirmed that Muthoni completed the endurance challenge, making her the first Kenyan to achieve the feat. The marathon, which required continuous physical contact with a tree for 72 hours, was aimed at promoting environmental conservation and climate awareness.

Following the confirmation, Truphena expressed gratitude to her supporters, noting that the record was not just a personal achievement but a statement on the importance of protecting nature.

Her accomplishment has since drawn widespread praise from Kenyans online, with many hailing her dedication to environmental advocacy and resilience.
