Content creator Lydia Wanjiru has spoken openly about her recent cosmetic transformation, revealing that she underwent a full body recomposition after losing 34 kilograms.
Speaking on Friday, January 23, 2026, Lydia dismissed claims that she took shortcuts, saying the procedures were a necessary step after years of discipline and self-care.
“I didn’t take a shortcut. I took care of myself,” she said.
Lydia explained that due to her natural body structure, achieving her desired results through diet and exercise alone was not possible.
“With my original Kikuyu appearance, there was no other way out,” she stated.
She noted that some areas of her body, particularly the lower abdomen, failed to respond to gym workouts and strict dieting even after the significant weight loss.
“With my original Kikuyu appearance, there was no other way out,” she added.
“That lower tummy that gym and diet can’t fix? My doctors removed almost two kilograms of it,” Lydia explained.
She revealed that she underwent a tummy tuck, a procedure that removed excess loose skin caused by the weight loss. In addition, her makeover included Liposuction 360 and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), procedures she says collectively completed her body recomposition journey.
However, Lydia emphasized that cosmetic surgery is not one-size-fits-all.
“Some people need two procedures, others just one. Every body is different and requires a personalised approach,” she said.
Addressing the cost, Lydia disclosed that the surgeries alone cost between KSh1 million and KSh1.2 million, while the total expense — including pre-operative and post-operative care — amounted to approximately KSh1.8 million.
She concluded by reiterating that the procedures were not about shortcuts or vanity, but about aligning her physical appearance with the hard work she had already put into her health.
