A family in Kiambu County is seeking financial support to repatriate the body of a young Kenyan man who died while working in Dubai.

The deceased, identified as Onesmus Karanja Muniu, popularly known as Onesse, reportedly passed away on April 28, 2026, while on duty.

Family members and friends have described him as a hardworking and dedicated young man whose sudden death has deeply affected those close to him.

Relatives are currently holding prayer meetings and burial preparations at his parents’ home in Kamuguga, Njiku Kamuembe area.

The family has announced a fundraising drive set for Sunday, May 10, 2026, with the aim of raising KSh1.2 million to facilitate the repatriation of his body from Dubai to Kenya.

They have appealed to well-wishers and members of the public to support the effort so that he can be given a dignified burial at home.
