Pedestrian dies after being hit by a falling gas cylinder in Embakasi, Nairobi

A tragic accident in Embakasi, Nairobi, has claimed the life of a 25-year-old man who was fatally struck by a falling gas cylinder on Monday afternoon.

The victim, identified as James Ndungu, was walking along the roadside when the gas cylinder fell from a residential building and struck him on the head, resulting in fatal injuries.

According to police reports, James Ndungu, 25 was found dead on the roadside after he was hit on the head by a falling gas cylinder. Eyewitnesses at the scene confirmed the account, stating that the cylinder had dropped from an upper floor of a nearby building.

Police officers responded to the incident, visited the scene, and recovered the gas cylinder involved in the accident. The body of the deceased was transferred to the mortuary, where a postmortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with a focus on establishing the source of the gas cylinder and whether negligence played a role.
