Police in Kajiado County are investigating a violent attack in which a night guard was killed and another seriously injured during a raid on a construction site in Oloolua.

According to authorities, a gang of unidentified attackers stormed the site in Hill Top estate early Thursday morning. The assailants tied up two guards before stealing assorted construction materials and office equipment. Police believe the gang escaped using a waiting vehicle.

One of the guards, identified as 35-year-old Lampart Lenkoyo, was found dead at the scene with his hands and legs bound. His colleague, who sustained deep cuts and multiple injuries, was rushed to hospital and remains in serious condition.

Lenkoyo’s body was taken to the mortuary for an autopsy as investigations continue.

Police say they have launched a manhunt for the attackers. The incident comes amid a rise in criminal activities targeting construction sites in the area, which has seen increased building activity. Authorities have pledged to deploy more officers to curb the trend.
