Communications and political strategist Pauline Njoroge has hinted at plans to contest an elective position in Nairobi County during the 2027 general elections, signalling a potential entry into active politics.
In outlining her vision for the capital, Njoroge cited former United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt as her political inspiration, crediting him for steering America through the aftermath of the 1929 Great Depression. She said his leadership style offers lessons relevant to Nairobi’s current situation.
Drawing parallels with the city’s challenges, Njoroge described Nairobi as burdened by poor service delivery, persistent filth and severe financial stress, which she attributed to the misappropriation and embezzlement of public resources.
Although she did not explicitly disclose the seat she intends to seek, Njoroge maintained that the city urgently requires leadership that places residents at the centre of governance. She argued that Nairobi needs leaders who listen to citizens, respond to their concerns and prioritise efficient service delivery to restore confidence in public administration.
