Activist Hanifa Adan has playfully turned down a Valentine’s Day proposal from fellow activist Allan Ademba.
Ademba took to his X account on Monday, February 9, 2026, publicly asking Hanifa to be his Valentine. He shared a photo of the two of them together at a shopping mall and tagged her in the post.
“@Honeyfarsafi, will you be my Valentine?” Ademba wrote.
However, just hours later, Hanifa responded — effectively ending any hopes of a romantic gesture.
“I’m a happily married woman, mzee,” she replied on X on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Her response made it clear that her marital status was the key reason behind declining the proposal.
Both Ademba and Hanifa rose to prominence following their involvement in the nationwide protests that rocked the country in 2024.
