Police are investigating the brutal killing of a boda boda rider who was stabbed to death in Ongata Rongai under unclear circumstances.
The deceased, identified as Christian Habumuremyi, 41, was attacked outside a house shortly after dropping off a female pillion passenger.
According to police reports, Habumuremyi sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest, lower abdomen, and near the armpit. His body was discovered about five meters from his motorcycle.
Interestingly, his mobile phone and cash were found intact, ruling out robbery as the motive. Detectives are working to establish who was behind the attack and what led to the murder.
The female passenger, who was dropped off at the scene moments before the incident, has been detained for questioning as part of ongoing investigations.
The body of the deceased was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further police investigations.
