Three men have been arraigned at the Gatundu Law Courts in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a mentally incapacitated man in Gatundu Town, Kiambu County.

The suspects — Kelvin Muhoho, Daniel Kung’u and George Ndarwa — are accused of sodomising the victim and causing serious injuries to his private parts, according to police reports.

Authorities said the victim is currently admitted at Gatundu Level Five Hospital, where he is receiving treatment and is reported to be in stable condition as he recovers from the injuries.

Police confirmed that the three suspects are being held at the Gatundu South Police Station as investigations continue. The matter is scheduled to be mentioned in court on Thursday, February 2026, when formal charges are expected to be read.

The incident has sparked public outrage, with calls for swift justice and stronger protection for persons living with mental disabilities, who remain vulnerable to abuse.
