Kenyans on social media are demanding justice following the alleged fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy at a private ranch in Laikipia County.
The teenager, identified as Peter Edung, reportedly died after a firearm was discharged during an incident at Oldonyo Lemora Ranch on April 21, 2026.

According to initial reports, Edung had visited his uncle, who works as a casual labourer at the ranch, when the incident occurred.
Authorities say the firearm involved was a CZ 527 rifle allegedly licensed to ranch owner Ivan Tomlinson. Investigators have also named his 15-year-old son, Lance Tomlinson, in connection with the case.
The circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation.
Police Probe and Arrests
Ivan Tomlinson reportedly recorded a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Laikipia West before being released on a cash bail of KSh100,000 over alleged firearms-related offences.
Authorities have indicated that the juvenile suspect has not yet been apprehended. Reports suggest he may have undergone a medical assessment at Nanyuki Cottage Hospital.
