Police in Gatundu have launched investigations following the discovery of a woman’s body in a thicket under disturbing circumstances.

Victim Identified

The deceased has been identified as Jecinta Wambui Kigo, aged 39.

Her body was found lying in a thicket on March 31, with authorities noting that she was unclothed at the time of discovery.

Injuries Raise Concerns

According to police, the body had visible bruises on the left knee and deep cuts on the right side of the head, believed to have been inflicted using a sharp object.

Investigators also observed signs of strangulation on the neck, pointing to a possible violent attack.

Her clothes were recovered nearby, reportedly torn with a sharp object.

Motive Unknown

The motive behind the killing remains unclear, with police yet to establish the circumstances leading to her death.

Body Moved for Postmortem

The body was moved to a mortuary for a postmortem examination as part of ongoing investigations.

Authorities are appealing for information that could assist in identifying those responsible for the killing as they intensify efforts to solve the case.
