South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro has accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife, Pastor Dorcas, of making it difficult for guests to access their official residence in Karen.
Speaking candidly, Osoro claimed that even MPs from Gachagua’s own Mt. Kenya region struggled to gain entry during his tenure. He alleged that visitors were often kept waiting at the gate for hours, only to leave without meeting the former deputy president.
Osoro further claimed that on the rare occasions an MP was allowed inside, they were allegedly met with an unexpected question from Pastor Dorcas: “Mmekujia pesa?” (Have you come for money?).
Drawing a comparison, Osoro said, “When Ruto was the deputy president, Karen and Harambee were homes for MPs. That’s why he knows all these roads. We would go, sit with him, and even discuss how to advise the president at the time (Uhuru Kenyatta). You would be treated to lunch before leaving.”
