Nairobi, Kenya – Police have launched a manhunt for a group of bouncers from Habanos Lounge located along the Northern Bypass after two patrons alleged they were assaulted, detained, and robbed on the premises.
The incident reportedly occurred early Sunday morning, June 15, when the victims were attacked while enjoying drinks at the popular nightspot. They are now admitted in hospital nursing multiple injuries.
“They accused us of being thieves and began attacking us with kicks and punches without any explanation,” said one of the victims while speaking from his hospital bed.
Assault, Detention, and Robbery Alleged
One of the victims said he was held in a solitary room for hours after the violent attack. He sustained injuries to the head, right hand, and legs, and was rushed to hospital where he received six stitches on the head.
He also claimed that the bouncers stole his two mobile phones, KSh1,200, and a gold chain during the assault.
