Uncle on the Run After Teen’s Death
The suspect, identified as the uncle to the deceased, reportedly fled the home after realizing the girl was unresponsive. Police have launched a manhunt for him.
“Preliminary investigations indicate the girl was assaulted after returning home from spending a night away. The assailant escaped after realizing she had died,” said an officer aware of the case.
The motive of the attack is believed to have been punishment, which tragically turned fatal.
Body Taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital
The girl’s body was moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for a postmortem as detectives continue investigations into the killing.
Police have condemned the incident, urging parents and guardians to handle domestic discipline within the law and report runaway or troubled minors to local authorities instead of resorting to violence.
